Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Lay Picks collects for tracker requests, optional email updates, account access, subscriptions, member chat, and product operation.
Information We Collect
Account and subscription records may include your name, email, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, access status, access dates, support notes, and sign-in records. Free tracker requests may include your email address, optional first name, request source, delivery status, and—only when you opt in—the exact marketing-consent wording and time. Existing free tester records may also include original application details.
How We Use It
We use this information to deliver requested trackers, control access, operate account sign-in, manage subscriptions, provide support, and improve the product. We send Lay Picks updates, recent results, and membership offers only to tracker contacts who explicitly opt in.
Member Chat
When you use the member dashboard or Member Chat, we store limited recent app-activity and read-state information used for the aggregate online-member count and unread-message badge. If you use Member Chat, we also store the public display name you choose, your messages, message times, reports, and moderation actions. The count includes members who currently have either the dashboard or Member Chat open, including Lay Picks team accounts; your individual activity time and read state are not shown. Messages appear as one continuous conversation with Europe/London date dividers, and the unread badge covers unread messages across the retained conversation. Your email address is never shown in chat. Display names and messages are visible to active members; reports are visible only to the Lay Picks team. Chat messages and associated reports are normally retained for around 30 days for operation, safety, and moderation, then removed through the scheduled cleanup process.
Account Access
Lay Picks uses email magic links and password sign-in for account access. Session and magic-link records are stored to keep access controlled.
Data Sharing
We do not sell customer data. Hosting, email, database, and payment providers may process data only as needed to run the service.
Your Choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the instructions in the email or by contacting support@laypicks.uk. You can also change your public chat display name inside Member Chat and delete your own chat messages. Contact support if you need help with your account information or a privacy request.
